Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Refugee Health and Immunizations Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct patient care and treatment, administer immunizations, and support other clinics as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Administer immunizations to adults and children, including rabies, influenza, pneumonia, and other vaccines as required.
  • Accurately enter all data required in Florida Shots per program requirements, including immunization history and vaccines administered.
  • Complete all appropriate immunization forms required by the State of Florida for all schools, day cares, and DOH programs.
  • Maintain and update temperature logs for the Refugee Health and Immunizations clinics' refrigerators and freezers daily.
  • Accurately enter and maintain vaccines tracking logs for all program inventories and compliance.
  • Provide education and training to nursing students during clinical rotations.
  • Participate in programs awareness, education, and community health fairs as needed.
  • Attend in-service educational sessions, staff meetings, and necessary classes for professional development or required training.
Requirements
  • A Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Florida or a multistate license.
  • A valid Florida Driver's License and willingness to travel to other sites in Osceola County.
  • At least one (1) year of recent work experience as an LPN at a Primary Care, Family Practice, Hospital, or other clinical setting.
  • At least six (6) months or more of experience providing immunizations to children and/or adults.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in documenting and retrieving clinical information using an electronic health records system.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole and fluently speak, read, and write both languages.
