Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse/Floor Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse/Floor Nurse to join our team at Terrace of Kissimmee. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to our residents, supervise nursing assistants, and ensure the highest level of quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting resident care.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants, ensuring they are following established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in facility surveys and inspections, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working with the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, including falls, injuries, or illnesses.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in staff development and training programs, staying up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and technologies.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid and current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to make sound judgments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
