Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Education Media Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating mass media and community outreach health education and promotion campaigns for specific target audiences on various health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate mass media and/or community outreach health education and promotion campaigns for specific target audiences on various health issues.
  • Direct and assess formative market research and evaluation of health education and promotion materials, approaches, and techniques.
  • Advise department staff and local health officials on the application of mass media and community outreach approaches to public health issues, problems, and/or needs.
  • Serve as liaison with other state agencies, and public and private groups involved in health education and promotion.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have four years of experience in the preparation and distribution of health education or health promotion materials in both print media and electronic media. An associate degree in a related field can substitute for two years of specialized experience, and a bachelor's degree in a related field can substitute for four years of experience.
