This pivotal role involves taking charge of the CAD department, focusing on utilizing AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault for the design of industrial control panels. You will manage a team of up to ten CAD Designers, playing a crucial role in coordinating technical efforts, enhancing design methodologies, and ensuring top-tier design quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent support in the design and documentation of electrical schematics, PI&Ds, and panel layouts.
  • Establish and uphold standards and procedures to maintain CAD integrity and compliance.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at productivity enhancements, including customizations and automated quality checks.
  • Oversee the transition of CAD data to production CNC machinery, optimizing manufacturing workflows.
  • Conduct training sessions on corporate CAD standards, software updates, and best practices to enhance internal capabilities.
  • Offer production and technical support for all CAD-related software inquiries.
  • Facilitate regular CAD group meetings to share updates and effectively strategize resource allocation.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • A solid educational foundation with a minimum two-year degree in CAD Technology.
  • Extensive experience, with at least 10 years in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical, demonstrating a path to expertise.
  • A thorough understanding and practical knowledge of UL508A Control Panel Design is essential.
  • A leadership style that embodies servant-leadership, focusing on guidance and mentorship within the team.
