About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Technician to join our team at Solventum. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and components, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, web handling systems, etc.
  • Perform basic machining, pipefitting and millwright tasks, welding, and fabrication tasks as well as preventive maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic equipment and components, Maintain/troubleshoot power and distribution systems
  • Operate a personal computer to maintain/troubleshoot power and distribution systems, load/remove programs, and create and modify spreadsheets, databases for historical trending, and databases for word processing
Requirements
  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (complete prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance, with an emphasis on Process Instrumentation and Control Systems
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Ability to work either a first, second or third shift (depending on shift availability)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year technical degree or, technical knowledge and practical application skills in mechanical, electrical, or electronics disciplines at a level normally acquired through formal training in two-to-four years of vocational education and/or as part of an established apprenticeship program
  • Knowledge and skills of mechanical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and devices is normally required
  • Knowledge and skills of Electrical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and devices is normally required
