About the Job

This role is responsible for maintaining the overall HVAC-R equipment throughout the company's facilities. The successful candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of air conditioning systems, ice makers, refrigerators, and freezers, utilizing specialized test equipment and hand/power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, electrical and pneumatic controls as related to HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and documentation of maintenance measures and logs.
  • Makes repairs to air handling equipment, i.e., replaces bearings, belts, pulleys, and air filters. Services and maintains rooftop units, split DX systems, and Liebert air conditioning units.
  • Uses refrigerant recovery equipment when servicing refrigerant-based systems.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification or within 6 months of hire.
  • Class "A" air condition and refrigeration license in the state of practice and completion of accredited courses in air condition and refrigeration (preferred).

Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Must have good vision correctable to 20-20 with no color blindness. Must be able to crawl, climb, and bend without any restrictions.
