Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist

Join our team at GAAMHA as a Recovery Specialist and play a vital role in supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with residents to develop personalized treatment plans and provide guidance and support throughout their recovery journey.
About the RoleIn this per diem position, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily activities and scheduling for residents
- Ensuring accurate medication management and documentation
- Facilitating therapeutic groups and maintaining accurate records
- Conducting regular headcounts and wellness checks to ensure resident safety
- Preparing reports and shift change logs as required
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in substance use disorder treatment and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CADC/LADC certification or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass CORI check
We offer a competitive salary of $28-$32 per hour, based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development. You will also enjoy working with a dynamic and supportive team, dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
