Mixing Operator - 1st Shift

Position Overview

As a Mixing Operator at Gehl Foods Southeast, you will take charge of the batching and blending processes, ensuring that raw materials are combined to produce top-notch food items. You will work under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor, contributing significantly to the maintenance of safety protocols and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established recipes for the precise mixing and blending of food ingredients.
  • Accurately weigh and measure all components to guarantee quality.
  • Continuously monitor machinery and promptly report any issues.
  • Operate blending machinery in accordance with specified formulas.
  • Manage inventory levels within the batching section.
  • Conduct basic analytical assessments on materials as required.
  • Ensure cleanliness of equipment and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Utilize forklifts when necessary to assist in operations.
  • Uphold compliance with all safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Basic proficiency in mathematics.
  • Capability to lift containers weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the food sector.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to lift/carry 60 lbs | Frequently required to push/pull 60 lbs, reach overhead | Occasionally required to climb, squat/bend/kneel, and sit.

Work Environment

May involve exposure to wet conditions, elevated noise levels, allergens, and food processing fumes.
