CT Imaging Specialist

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Job SummaryThe CT Technologist performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist as necessary.
- Properly identify and assist patients, explaining procedures and documenting medical history on requisitions.
- Interview patients for a complete medical history, reviewing EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical information.
- Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with Radiologists as needed, recognizing abnormal anatomy and processing additional images and measurements as instructed.
- Perform basic patient care functions, informing nursing personnel of changes in patient condition and initiating life support measures when necessary.
- Assist in code blue procedures during medical emergencies and provide radiation safety for self, employees, patients, and family members.
- Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA and ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT certification in Radiology and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
- Current CPR certification and meeting all required elements of competency checklists as appropriate.
