Ramp Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our Ramp and Transportation Department at LSG Sky Chefs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a team of at least 15 employees and be passionate about ensuring high-quality service delivery in a fast-paced production environment.
Main Responsibilities- Supervisor Responsibilities
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed, and that all delivery times are met timely.
- Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct daily safety audits (A1s).
- Conduct daily work group meetings.
- Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and all government regulatory agencies standards.
- Document and follow up on all department processes to implement improvements.
- Open availability, weekends, and holidays as operations require.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
- Leadership
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to uphold high standards of performance, professionalism, and customer service.
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed.
- Plan, implement, and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Participate and support company-sponsored initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and CBase.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge required.
- One to three years of related work experience required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience managing CDL drivers preferred.
- Experience with DOT requirements.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proven analytical and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
