Role for Experienced and New Graduates:

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to become an integral part of our Outpatient Radiation Oncology Clinic, contributing to our mission of excellence in patient care. You will play a crucial role in administering high-quality radiation therapy treatments, leveraging the latest technological advancements.

This role involves executing a prescribed course of radiation therapy as per departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols, while adhering to the highest standards of professional practice. You will conduct necessary assessments, care, and treatment planning for our patient demographic.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary:
$40.08 to $64.13 hourly wage, commensurate with experience and education

Retention Incentive:
$20,000 Retention Bonus

Key Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with referring providers' orders. Utilize independent judgment and apply learned methodologies in line with established policies and procedures.
Educate patients and their families about the procedures and treatments being performed. Maintain professionalism in all interactions; promote teamwork, efficient resource use, and quality patient outcomes.
Operate treatment and planning equipment, ensuring compliance with departmental policies. Prepare and administer prescribed doses while maintaining accurate documentation.
Demonstrate proficiency in performing prescribed invasive procedures according to established protocols.
Conduct equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal equipment performance. Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to radiation safety practices.
Accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities associated with radiation oncology practice, including maintaining confidentiality.
Ensure efficient workflow within the department.
Perform all functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

Deliver exceptional service to all customers of Foundation Health by consistently demonstrating our core values and leadership behaviors.


Qualifications:


Must possess a solid understanding of clinical care, typically acquired through an Associate degree in radiation oncology or a related field.

National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency, if applicable, is required. BLS certification is mandatory.
Must be knowledgeable about clinical techniques, applications, and equipment relevant to the field. Effective communication and human relations skills are essential, along with a strong safety consciousness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in radiation therapy is preferred.
