About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team on a weekend shift. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient orders and refer any discrepancies to the Radiologist.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and documenting relevant information.
  • Interview patients to obtain a complete medical history and review relevant clinical information.
  • Administer IV contrast and record relevant information.
  • Evaluate image quality and consult with Radiologists as needed.
  • Perform basic patient care functions and initiate life support measures when necessary.
  • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required. ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required in addition to current CPR certification.

Physical Demands

This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in the daily operation of the CT department.
