Your deliverables will include Certificates, Test Reports, and Technical Reports tailored to client needs.

As a key contributor, you will provide engineering knowledge and operational assistance for Product Safety Testing. This position primarily requires onsite presence, with potential for hybrid work arrangements based on business requirements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct safety evaluations in accordance with international safety standards and laboratory protocols.
  • Review and refine test plans and specifications before execution.
  • Draft comprehensive technical reports and documentation that meet industry standards.
  • Generate revenue by billing engineering hours to TÜV SÜD America clients, typically on a project basis, including Constructional Reviews, Testing, Preliminary Evaluations, and Certification activities.
  • Ensure all testing documentation is completed accurately and promptly for inclusion in final reports.
  • Maintain proficiency in the operational procedures of all testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Adhere to standard laboratory operating procedures, including documentation, equipment storage, and cleanliness of testing areas.
  • Engage in customer kickoff meetings to clarify test plans and ensure proper sample configuration.
  • Prepare and critique test reports, providing constructive feedback to enhance the quality of deliverables.
  • Stay informed on the latest design theories and product standards through continuous education and training.
  • Ensure testing environments and equipment are in optimal condition for client projects.
  • Collaborate with the regional product safety team to prepare for and conduct audits.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through effective communication and organization.
  • Offer engineering insights to clients to assist in achieving compliance with international safety standards.
  • Work alongside the Technical Support team and Account Executives to provide accurate time estimates for testing and other safety project support.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding technical feedback, quotes, and compliance information.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Laboratory testing equipment specific to your discipline (e.g., EMC, ELS, ENV, BAT) along with standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and communication devices.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of experience in Product Safety, with familiarity in consumer product safety standards. Experience with medical standards is advantageous. Knowledge of ISO 17025, CRM, and SAP platforms is preferred. Clear and timely communication skills are essential.
