We are representing a prominent manufacturing organization actively seeking a senior-level Continuous Improvement Manager due to a recent internal promotion. This individual will report to the Director of Operations of a significant campus and be tasked with enhancing margins through the sustainment of plant KPIs and waste reduction.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The selected candidate will take ownership of the Continuous Improvement function while reporting directly to the Director of Operations.
  • Lead a team of four Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineers.
  • Serve as a resource for the organization in the application of continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and other enhancement techniques.
  • Oversee the activities of the Continuous Improvement group, ensuring effective collaboration with maintenance and operations to drive site-wide enhancements.
  • Manage capital projects, inventory oversight, and other necessary functions.
  • Supervise Continuous Improvement development and training; facilitate special events aimed at driving 6S initiatives, enhancing plant performance, eliminating waste, and improving yield and production processes.
  • Encourage engagement with production staff to identify and suggest improvement opportunities.
  • Exhibit a proven ability to implement change within a manufacturing setting and ensure that improvement initiatives are communicated, understood, and supported throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in facilitating groups and delivering continuous improvement training.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is essential for consideration.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean manufacturing within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Must be highly organized, capable of working with minimal supervision, possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and be motivated to meet deadlines with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
