Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients by collaborating with industrial design, operations, and environmental compliance teams to develop permit conditions that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including budget formulation and monitoring, leading project teams, facilitating workloads, and ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • Support marketing initiatives through proposal development, outreach to teaming partners and clients, and strategic planning.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies to navigate air permit applications through agency protocols and negotiate suitable permit conditions.
  • Utilize essential technical and regulatory expertise, including:
    • New Source Review (NSR) permitting and regulatory evaluations in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Expertise in air operating permits, including the preparation of initial and renewal applications, along with compliance assessments.
    • Conduct air dispersion modeling analyses (e.g., AERMOD; AERSCREEN).
    • Coordinate emission source testing and exhaust sample collection.
    • Calculate quantitative emission estimates and potential-to-emit for various sources.
    • Prepare Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analyses.
    • Apply knowledge of the Clean Air Act (CAA), including NSR & PSD, NSPS & NESHAP, and other pertinent regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in air permitting or a related field, including at least 3 years in project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • A strong commitment to client service, characterized by high-quality work, ethical standards, and excellent communication skills.
