Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Construction Supervisor to join our team at American States Water. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater systems on military installations throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct work crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe construction operations
  • Assess project schedules and identify potential issues, material needs, and conflicts
  • Collect and maintain construction progress reports, inspection records, and erosion control reports
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations and policies
  • Perform physical construction tasks, including excavating, pipe laying, and backfilling
  • Oversee water and wastewater line testing, including chlorination and pressure testing
  • Focus on quality and quality management
  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner, following established standards of performance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Five years of prior water and wastewater system construction experience preferred
  • Two years of supervisory experience on construction projects preferred
  • Basic computer skills and strong communication and organizational skills
  • Heavy equipment operation and instruction preferred
  • Strong knowledge of utility plans and specifications
  • Proficient skill with lasers, line and grade, excavation, and dewatering
