About the Job:

We are seeking a Transportation Sector Intern to join our team. This internship offers a great career opportunity for a dynamic and energetic individual who wants to develop professionally.

You will use state-of-the-art technologies and collaborate with experienced teams to bring innovative ideas to life. As part of our civil engineering staff, you will work alongside our firm's full-time employees to learn how professional services are provided to our clients in the form of land development, infrastructure design, construction document preparation, stormwater management, utility design, sediment and erosion control, and traffic control.

This temporary, non-exempt part-time hourly position comes with overtime eligibility. We will pay for various certifications and educational training to assist in advancing your knowledge.

Estimated Salary: $20-$25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with design work
  • Performs calculations and simulations
  • Researches topics as assigned
  • Assists with field inspections

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of fundamental civil engineering concepts, strong problem-solving and math skills, and excellent communication skills. You should also be self-motivated and detail-oriented, with good time management skills and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in an efficient manner.

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel) is essential, as well as some proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D US. Experience with reading, analyzing, and interpreting plan sets is also desirable.
