Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will design structures that can withstand harsh Alaskan winters, earthquakes, and high winds. Key responsibilities include analyzing structures using computer analysis programs, preparing structural plans, details, specifications, and related construction observations, leading structural and multi-discipline projects, reviewing other engineers' designs and project structural drawings, interpreting and coordinating with architectural drawings, participating in design progress meetings, assisting with project proposals, and observing on-site structural construction.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural coursework
  • Professional Engineer registration
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in structural engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Mathcad
  • Familiarity with RISA, STAAD, SAP, Enercalc, or similar structural analysis software
  • Attention to detail, organized, and deadline-driven
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural emphasis
  • Structural Engineer registration
  • Experience with Revit
  • Project Management experience and/or Designer of Record
  • Interest in ongoing professional development
Compensation and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with experience and expertise.
