The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medication preparation and distribution. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will be responsible for processing medication orders, maintaining inventory, and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Process medication orders in a timely manner to progress patient care.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and ThedaCare policies.
- Prepare sterile compounded products under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Document medication handling and patient information accurately and in compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations.
- Obtain accurate admission medication histories and implement quality measures in product preparation and delivery.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the WI Department of Safety and Professional Services required.
- Commitment to become Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) certified within three years of hire.
