Job Summary
At Abbeville Area Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in the pre-operative, perioperative, and post-operative settings.

Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care strategies
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Carolina or eligibility for licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within one year of hire
One year of clinical experience in a perioperative setting, preferably in a PACU, surgery, or critical care area

Working Conditions
May require irregular hours and prolonged standing
May be exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, and other conditions common to a hospital environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and seek assistance when heavier objects need to be lifted
