Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cranes Safely: Execute lifts using safe rigging, flagging signals, and radio communications to ensure the safe movement of heavy loads.
  • Perform Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on cranes to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Inspect Equipment: Complete pre-start and post-start inspections to ensure cranes are safe to operate.
  • Determine Load Capacities: Calculate load, line, block, drum, and hook capacities to ensure safe lifting operations.
  • Read and Understand Operator Manuals: Familiarize yourself with crane operator manuals to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Understand Crane Mechanics: Develop a thorough understanding of crane mechanics and operation to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Operator and 3 years of experience with Overhead cranes.
  • Certification: Current NCCCO Certification with a copy of the certification card.
  • Nuclear Experience: Must have experience working in a nuclear environment.
  • Background Check: Pass a nuclear background check.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
