A leading financial services firm, Tandym Group, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join their team as a Closed-end Funds Tax Senior. In this role, the Tax Senior will be responsible for ensuring the tax compliance of investment partnerships and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Quarterly Tax Projections: Prepare accurate and timely quarterly income tax projections for partnerships and tax provisions for corporations.
- Tax Compliance: Review book-to-tax adjustments, state apportionment, and withholding tax computation, as well as tax allocations for investment partnerships, SPVs, and Joint Ventures (JVs).
- Tax Estimates and Returns: Review federal and state income tax estimates and tax returns for partnerships and corporations.
- Tax Deliverables: Monitor tax deliverable deadlines and supervise tax payment requests and tax filing calendar prepared by the paralegal.
- Liaison with Tax Administrators: Act as a liaison with outside tax administrators and accounting firms for timely releasing of K1s and filing of all tax returns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience in partnership and corporation tax in public accounting or a similar field, with a focus on the financial services sector (investment partnerships, SPVs, and securities taxation).
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with systems and technology.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and achieve desired results in a timely manner.
Desired Skills:
- CPA certification.
