Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Supervisor to assist the Production Supervisor in developing and executing department plans to achieve overall business objectives. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality product manufacturing within a safe working environment, meeting customer needs and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily performance meetings to review and adjust department results as needed.
- Correspond with internal and external customers to ensure accurate information and resolve issues.
- Manage departmental systems, including ERP and OEE software, to ensure accurate data and efficient operations.
- Provide training and development opportunities for employees within the department.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by ensuring daily plans are effectively executed and providing guidance to the team.
- Assist in maintaining good employee relations by reviewing timecards, resolving issues, and escalating unresolved matters to the department Supervisor.
- Manage employee performance by leading, motivating, and providing recognition and feedback.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Two-year degree, technical school certificate in Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2 years Manufacturing experience and/or training required.
- 1 year Managing others required.
- Understanding of supply chain knowledge, Lean manufacturing concepts, and financial impacts to Profit & Loss preferred.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively mentor and develop team members.
- Understanding of quantitative analysis and ability to monitor/assess performance to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Ability to read and understand written information and use Word, Excel, and Outlook to carry out work.
- Ability to use SAP and Kronos effectively.
- Ability to listen and understand spoken information and conduct tests and inspections to evaluate quality or performance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
This position may require occasional travel to other company locations.
This is a full-time, exempt position located in Stockton, CA. This is a Swing shift position, beginning at 3:00pm.
Relocation is not available for this position.
$60,900 - $97,400 / Year
