Banquet Houseperson

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Houseperson to join our team at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest. As a Banquet Houseperson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our events by setting, maintaining, and refreshing hotel banquet meeting rooms according to sales contract and company standards.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of meeting rooms in a timely manner.
• Assist supervisors during large functions and events.
• Set up meeting rooms according to sales contract and company standards.
• Refresh rooms on time, have water in rooms, clean rooms, and set for appropriate functions.

• Prior housekeeping experience is desirable.
• Ability to communicate with guests, other associates, and supervisors.
• Ability to assess and meet standards.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach all areas of responsibility, including shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under and around furniture.
• Continuous standing and/or walking to accomplish all tasks required for the position.
• Climbing stairs approximately 40 steps 15% of a 40-hour week.
