Job Title: Class A Hazmat Driver

At TransForce, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A Hazmat Driver to join our team. As a Class A Hazmat Driver, you will be responsible for operating a heavy-duty truck with the ability to hitch and pull associated equipment safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating a heavy-duty truck with an ability to hitch and pull associated equipment safely and reliably.
  • Yard work / station maintenance as needed.
  • Delivering a customer's compressed and/or liquefied natural gas, and equipment associated with providing the natural gas service in a timely manner to the customer's location.
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicle and equipment.
  • Documenting findings of inspections and ensuring appropriate action is taken with regard to any exceptions.
  • Preparing and maintaining all appropriate documentation, certifications, and endorsements required of hazardous material drivers by the Department of Transportation.
  • Observing all traffic rules and practicing defensive driving techniques.
  • Performing timely and accurate recordkeeping of deliveries in terms of time and quantity.
  • Preparing driver trip reports on a daily basis and submitting to the Operations Manager.
  • Informing the Management of any vehicle or equipment which requires attention or repair.
  • Reporting any unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Drivers License, Class A, with Hazardous Material and Tank endorsements (CDL/HM/CLASS A/XT).
  • 5+ years of previous CDL Class A driving experience.
  • A keen sense of smell.
  • Able to pass a standard Department of Transportation physical examination and drug tests pursuant to legal requirements.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
