Role Summary

The Radiologic Technologist is tasked with executing radiologic procedures. This role involves a variety of technical tasks that necessitate independent judgment, initiative, and creativity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. External interactions include patients, their families, and physicians, while internal contacts comprise nursing staff and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct general radiography imaging studies under the guidance of the Chief Technologist and Director of Imaging Services.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures while delivering patient care and any related non-professional services to ensure the comfort and needs of patients and families.
  • Identify and communicate patient needs to maintain a safe and welcoming patient care environment.
Qualifications
  • Graduation or eligibility for graduation with an AA degree from an accredited Imaging program or equivalent.
  • Certification with the State of Washington Department of Health.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required; if registration is pending, it must be completed within 6 months of hiring.
  • MA-P certification is necessary for Maple Valley Rad Techs performing Phlebotomy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, along with paid time off. The pay scale for this position is $47.65 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and certifications. If this position is part of a union contract, compensation will align with the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant's experience.
