  • Conducts comprehensive assessments to determine patient functionality and develops tailored care plans. Serves as the clinical expert for complex patient evaluations and treatments within the designated practice area.
  • Educates patients and their families based on identified learning needs, adapting teaching methods to ensure comprehension and engagement.
  • Advocates for patients and families, addressing clinical and ethical concerns with appropriate resources to enhance patient satisfaction.
Quality Assurance and Improvement
  • Regularly assesses patient progress towards treatment goals, modifying plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitors and reports on quality and safety metrics, developing initiatives to enhance the patient experience and meet departmental quality targets.

Qualifications

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited program recognized by the relevant credentialing body.
Experience
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist, or four years with a specialty certification.
Licenses and Certifications

Required
  • State Licensure as a Physical Therapist within 90 days.
  • BLS Certification (AHA).
Preferred
  • Specialty certification is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrates necessary skills and competencies for safe practice, verified through ongoing assessments.
  • Proficient in English, with strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex patient care situations with sound judgment.
