As a Urologist at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, you will play a vital role in delivering specialized care to patients with urologic conditions. Your expertise in urologic procedures and patient evaluation will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting essential urologic procedures including cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and bladder biopsy.
  • Assessing and managing patients with urologic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Addressing patient inquiries, communicating test results, renewing prescriptions, and providing comprehensive patient education.
  • Documenting accurate progress notes for each patient interaction in the electronic health record.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of specialized medical equipment while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Engaging in performance improvement initiatives and fulfilling other assigned duties.
Care Standards:

The Urologist is expected to operate in accordance with VA guidelines, Veterans Health Administration policies, and prevailing Joint Commission standards.
