Corning is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Shift Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for providing on-shift technical support for manufacturing processes, focusing on process stability and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and train others on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Identify and resolve equipment issues, ensuring stable and high-yield performance.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to meet production targets.
- Interpret engineering schematics and procedures to optimize process performance.
- Support job changes and production runs, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and continuous learning initiatives.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections, calibrations, and process checks to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Support production reports and data reviews to drive process optimization.
- Two-year degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three+ years of technical manufacturing support experience, with proven leadership capabilities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance systems, with experience in glass forming, machining, electrical, robotics, and automation.
- Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly, with a strong commitment to continuous learning.
Corning offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $76,301, depending on experience and qualifications. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance, disability benefits, and paid time off.
