About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at The Orthopedic Hospital. As a CST, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including gathering and arranging equipment and surgical tools
  • Assist surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures
  • Count and verify all instruments and equipment used during surgery
  • Apply dressings to surgical sites and dispose of needles and gauze
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or completion of a program provided by the US Armed Forces
  • Certification (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology within 12 months of graduation
  • 15 continuing education hours related to surgical technology annually
  • CPR certification within three months of hire and maintained current
