Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team at Global Tax Management. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and tax provision services to our clients. You will utilize your advanced knowledge and understanding to support the tax compliance and tax provision process, conduct federal and state tax research, and draft/review memorandums to support tax return filing positions and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced knowledge and understanding to support the tax compliance and tax provision process.
- Conduct federal and state tax research and draft/review memorandums to support tax return filing positions and special projects.
- Manage, oversee, and act as the point person on small/medium engagements.
- Stay in tune with developments and changes in tax law and accounting procedures.
- Assist Managers and Directors in special projects, client billing, budgeting, and engagement letters.
- Build and manage client relationships while managing tax professionals working on client projects.
- Advise clients and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality tax service.
- Ability to work in office and/or at local client site 2 days per week or based on business need.
Qualifications:
- CPA, MST, or Advanced Degree a plus.
- 4+ years of progressive corporate income tax preparation and experience working in either a corporate tax department or professional services environment.
- Knowledge of corporate tax preparation within a corporate tax department or professional services environment is a plus.
- Experience with corporate tax preparation software: Corptax, ONESOURCE, or GoSystem RS preferred.
- Working knowledge of online tax research tools (CCH, RIA, BNA).
- Demonstrate leadership and the ability to effectively problem solve under pressure.
- Excellent advisory and compliance skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
