Position Overview

A rewarding opportunity exists for a Mental Health Worker within our Community Crisis Stabilization Unit. This role involves delivering specialized support to individuals experiencing crises in a structured environment.

About the Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) Unit: This unit is a vital component of Aspire Health Alliance's Emergency Services, providing a secure and supportive atmosphere for crisis intervention and treatment. It serves as a medically necessary, less restrictive, and voluntary alternative to inpatient psychiatric care. The unit features 8 newly renovated beds available for individuals during critical times, with flexible stay durations tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating personalized treatment planning.
  • Engaging in recreational, therapeutic, and coping activities.
  • Promoting consumer wellness through appropriate nutrition and daily living activities.
  • Ensuring a secure and safe environment.

Per Diem Position

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.

Essential Skills:
  • Ability to assist individuals requiring intensive support and supervision.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment in crisis situations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for outreach and client support.

Experience:
  • A BA/BS in Psychology or a related field is mandatory.
  • Prior experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges.
  • Experience in an acute mental health environment is preferred.
