Substance Use Disorder Specialist

Cedar Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Substance Use Disorder Professional to join our team in Tacoma, WA.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping individuals and families overcome substance use disorders and achieve a better quality of life.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy, and be able to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients with substance use disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in addiction treatment
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
- Associate degree in human services or related field, or successful completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits in courses from an approved school
- Registration or certification with Washington DOH
- Prior training in counseling or addiction treatment
- History of performing in a professional capacity
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
