Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Upholding a strong commitment to our exemplary safety culture, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols while operating chemical production equipment.
  • Managing chemical processes and systems related to distillation columns and equipment, utilizing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) or other control systems.
  • Adjusting controller set points to optimize equipment performance, quality, and yield in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitoring and documenting process data to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Recording essential operating data, including process conditions, test results, and instrument readings.
  • Collecting process samples and conducting necessary quality control analyses to ensure all streams meet specified standards.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to plant operations, process integrity, and product quality.
  • Collaborating with supervisory staff to address safety, compliance, efficiency, and quality concerns.
  • Regulating the flow of materials by opening and closing valves connected to various systems.
  • Preparing equipment line-ups to direct process streams appropriately.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records within the Inventory Management System.
  • Conducting daily audits for RCRA compliance, housekeeping, and safety protocols.
  • Assisting maintenance teams in preparing equipment for repairs and ensuring safe operational conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in mathematical calculations and data analysis.
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment for precise results.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to navigate complex situations effectively.
  • Capability to interpret and execute detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent listening skills to accurately follow verbal directions.
  • Familiarity with HAZCOM handling procedures.
  • Experience with SCADA or Digital Control Systems.
  • Organizational skills to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary training in RCRA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Demonstrated initiative and capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
