Preconstruction Manager/Director Opportunity

Michael Page is seeking a highly experienced Preconstruction Manager/Director to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable General Contractor in the New Jersey area.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for computing costs, preparing estimates, and resolving discrepancies. They will also present prepared estimates, prepare special reports, and perform conceptual, schematic, and design development budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Presentation of prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Perform conceptual, schematic, and design development budgets
  • Review plans for consistency and accuracy
  • Manage all levels of take-offs while applying unit prices
  • Collaborate with others on the pre-construction team to successfully bid jobs
  • Develop into a leader within the estimating team
  • Consult new clients on business solutions, be able to speak to the service that the Contractor provides
Requirements
  • 10+ years of estimating experience, preferably at a commercial GC
  • Experience bidding valued at $10 million or more
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • OSHA certification preferred
