We are in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic automation technical consultant to enhance our team. This hands-on technical position focuses on Honeywell Experion networking, configuration, and development specifically for the Pulp and Paper sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating estimate-level designs and material take-offs tailored to the project's estimation phase.
  • Generating detailed design calculations and sketches for project-related equipment, ensuring thorough preparation for efficient review and use by drafters/designers.
  • Producing preliminary designs and equipment lists suitable for project estimation.
  • Configuring and developing Honeywell Experion system applications in accordance with project specifications.
  • Developing Honeywell Experion programming to facilitate plant operations in controlling process manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborating within a team environment alongside engineers and specialists from Hargrove and our clients.
  • Leading multiple controls and automation project teams concurrently, with an emphasis on execution, quality, budget adherence, and scheduling.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing technical reports and documents, paying close attention to detail.

  • Proficient in computer programming and debugging, particularly with Function Block Diagrams (FBD) and Sequential Control Modules (SCM).
  • Extensive knowledge of Honeywell Experion networking, system architecture, design, and configuration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Honeywell Experion platform, including both virtualized and physical environments.
  • Capability to build, install, and configure Honeywell Experion control systems, including servers, flex stations, console stations, Control Builder, and HMI Web Display Builder.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Significant experience may substitute for degree requirement).
  • Over 10 years of experience in developing and implementing Honeywell Experion, including networking, HMIWeb graphics, control modules, sequential control modules, serial interfaces, and various bus I/O.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to various industrial locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in developing and implementing Honeywell Experion, including networking, HMIWeb graphics, control modules, sequential control modules, serial interfaces, and various bus I/O.
  • Knowledge of Pulp and Paper processes, including recovery boilers, evaporators, lime kilns, continuous and batch digesters, brown stock washers, bleach plants, and paper machines.
