Civil Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team at KPFF Consulting Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working on a variety of civil engineering projects, from planning studies to construction documents.
About the RoleAs a Civil Project Engineer, you will work closely with our project managers and design engineers to develop and implement sustainable civil engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Traveling to project sites to observe existing conditions
- Researching jurisdictional codes and manuals to determine design requirements
- Developing and reviewing calculations to support the design of stormwater conveyance, water quality, flow control, and green stormwater systems
- Preparing project specifications and design reports
- Presenting design presentations and attending site visits to observe construction
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience working under the supervision of a licensed professional civil engineer
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Desire and ability to work effectively in a team environment
