Job Description
ASSURANCE LEARNING ACADEMY
Join our team as a Student Relations Technician and play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our students. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining student records, data input, reconciliation, correspondence, and public contact. You will communicate with students and/or parents in appropriate areas of student information, progress, or concerns. Responsibilities
Front Desk and Student Support:
- Schedule orientations for incoming students
- Comply with expulsion, ELL, and special education protocols
- Ensure all required student enrollment paperwork is complete and correct
- Accurately input student information into our student information system
- Properly issue and track student work permits
- Provide quality customer service
- Answer all incoming telephone calls and handle them in the appropriate manner
- File documents in student folders
Compliance:
- Track and record work samples for accuracy
- Audit student work samples and documents for mandatory compliance
- Check report cards for completeness and accuracy before submitting to the registrar
- File student homework away
- Conduct orientations for new students
- Assist teachers with problem-solving issues related to compliance and student information systems
- Create and maintain compliance and ADA checklists
- Verify and confirm ADA in our student information system
- Submit compliance error reports to management
- Adhere to attendance policies
Qualifications
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, including the ability to greet customers in a friendly manner and provide responsive, timely, and accurate follow-up to questions and inquiries
- Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to react and respond to changing circumstances and procedures
- Respond to requests and inquiries from students, visitors, employees, and supervisors
- Able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple requests or interruptions while completing projects or work assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or General Education required
- 2 years of work experience in a fast-paced, clerical support position in a professional business setting
- Good attention to detail and maintain accuracy of work
- Good record-keeping techniques that demonstrate desirable planning and organizational skills
- Prepare general, statistical, and special reports
- Proficient or Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
TRAVEL: Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination
- Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together
- Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
- Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery
- Physical Strength: sedentary work. Sitting most of the time, and occasionally exerts up to 10 lbs. of force (almost all office jobs)
- Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work required
- Working in a noisy, distracting environment with frequent deadline pressures
