Key Responsibilities:

The Non-Certified EEG Technician is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care through effective communication with patients, families, medical staff, and physicians. The role encompasses:

  • Conducting clinical and ambulatory EEGs, evoked potentials, and monitoring patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and continuous EEG settings.
  • Performing clerical tasks and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • A high school diploma is mandatory.
  • An associate degree is preferred.
  • Prior EEG training experience or current enrollment in an Electro-Neuro diagnostic program is required.

Essential Skills:

  • Possession of a valid CPR certification.
  • Ability to perform EEGs and evoked potentials after receiving adequate training and competency validation.
  • Availability for call coverage for EEG and EMU, including holiday and weekend responsibilities.
  • Contributing to the management of departmental payroll and supply expenditures.
  • Executing clerical duties as necessary and fulfilling other assigned tasks.
