Job Summary

Chelsea Lighting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to lead the execution of tactical activities in operational logistics and shape strategic plans for growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, distribution, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in managing comprehensive logistics, supply chain planning, warehousing, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the storage, inventory, and movement of lighting fixtures and controls to/from clients' job sites in the NYC metropolitan area.
  • Develop and implement new solutions and technology to improve delivery and proof of delivery information.
  • Provide data and recommendations on tracking, costing, and usage alternatives.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of contracts, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Identify effective warehouse and transportation vendors, and negotiate contracts.
  • Assess and decide on LTL and/or FTL broker relationships.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of client needs and expectations in target areas of growth.

Growth Opportunities:

As Chelsea Lighting expands its operations to new cities, the Logistics Manager will play a critical role in building a platform to meet or exceed client full-service logistical needs. This includes identifying effective warehouse and transportation vendors, negotiating contracts, and developing working knowledge of contracts, deadlines, and expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum three years of management experience in comprehensive logistics, supply chain planning, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Expertise in logistics-related material management and material handling.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong problem-solving attitude.
  • Highly organized and dedicated individual with strong time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of 3PL arrangements and WMS systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
