We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the State of Minnesota. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to civilly committed sex offenders in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications, treatment, and other therapies as directed.
- Perform related duties, such as admissions and discharge, data collection, and assisting clients in developing optimal independence in living and coping skills.
- Lend assistance to the Registered Nurse in gathering data and planning and implementing the nursing care plan and multi-disciplinary treatment programs.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team, modeling respect, professional ethics, and a spirit of collaboration while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Maintain knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Serve as a positive role model to clients during the course of providing health services.
- Current licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse.
- Preferred candidates will have experience working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
