Aviation Maintenance Technician

Shift Availability:
Multiple shifts available. Flexibility to work any shift is required. Experience with G550 is preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Must possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate along with 2 years of aviation maintenance experience, or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience including 2 years on mid/large size aircraft.

A valid Driver's License is necessary.

Role Overview:
Under minimal supervision, you will conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
- Communicate effectively to receive and comprehend work assignments.
- Execute complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal oversight.
- Collaborate with MTL, STM, and the Inspection Department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection and documentation standards.
- Accurately complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Assist with shift transitions as needed.
- Ensure all completed work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Properly identify and secure customer property and equipment.
- Store aircraft components and customer property safely.

- Follow standard operating procedures when utilizing ground support equipment (e.g., external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders).

- Coordinate and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.
- Provide mentorship to less experienced technicians.
- Safeguard customer property (PTP).

Additional Responsibilities:
- Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags.
- Implement 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
- Apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all responsibilities.
- Use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment responsibly, returning items to designated storage after use.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, utilizing protective equipment as required, and proactively addressing unsafe conditions.

- Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track issues, and sign-offs, and charge labor to appropriate work orders.

- May be required to conduct flight tests on aircraft in support of certification and final phase testing.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Other Requirements:

- Familiarity with FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures is essential.

- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language is required.
