Position Overview: We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee operations in a pivotal role. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, coordination, and management of all contract-related functions between EMCOR and our esteemed clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full accountability for the successful execution of all contract elements between EMCOR and the client.
- Facilitate the transition process for new contracts, ensuring a seamless phase-in.
- Prepare and present quarterly financial forecasts along with monthly updates, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and financial targets.
- Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a well-trained and disciplined workforce.
- Oversee daily operations, scheduled maintenance, and the administration of subcontractors involved in facility projects.
- Assess and enhance project efficiency while managing operational costs in line with sound maintenance practices.
- Provide both administrative and technical guidance to staff in fulfilling their responsibilities.
- Supervise the negotiation and management of construction contracts, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Plan and delegate project tasks, establishing priorities for building maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and HR on staffing decisions, including hiring and promotions.
- Advise client facilities staff on issues related to physical plant operations.
- Ensure the upkeep of facilities, including HVAC systems, sanitation, and overall aesthetics.
- Coordinate the procurement of supplies and services, maintaining effective inventory control.
- Maintain effective communication with architects, engineers, and contractors involved in major projects.
- Keep accurate records and implement controls to ensure efficient management and productivity.
- Develop and conduct training programs for employees.
- Implement and uphold a robust safety program.
- Ensure compliance with the EMCOR Business System among administrative staff.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of seven years of experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial building systems.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage facility operations effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to resolve complex issues collaboratively.
- Experience working with diverse teams and various levels of personnel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of office management, plant operations, budgeting, and OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to lead teams and work independently.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Role may involve occasional physical activities such as reaching, bending, and kneeling.
