Job Summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Practical Nursing Instructor to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and clinical experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate attendance and grade records are maintained and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to guarantee program quality.
  • Develop and implement orientation programs for new faculty in both theory and clinical settings.
  • Utilize adult learning principles to enhance teaching methods.
  • Maintain student records of attendance, skills check-off forms, and assist with program data collection.
  • Submit required program reports and forms to the Director in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with new technologies and safety regulations.
  • Participate in committee activities supporting the nursing program's mission and function.
  • Attend faculty meetings.
  • Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned healthcare facilities.
  • Evaluate student performance in relation to clinical learning outcomes, adhering to Unitek Learning's policies and procedures.
  • Provide immediate feedback on clinical performance or specific events.
  • Assist in maintaining student records of clinical attendance, skills check-off forms, and program data collection.
  • Ensure clinical assignments meet both student and facility needs.
  • Determine the best method to observe, instruct, and evaluate students.
  • Determine if clinical facilities meet all health and safety requirements for Unitek Learning students.
  • Provide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling of office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.
  • Participate in student advising activities.
Qualifications

A BSN degree and 3 years of bedside experience as an RN in the field are required.
