Perioperative Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Services team at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital. As a PACU RN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
About the RoleThis is a PRN (as-needed) position, offering flexibility and autonomy in your schedule. As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for caring for adult and pediatric patients prior to surgery and those who have received anesthesia. Your primary function will be to monitor patients' medical conditions, report any significant changes to the physician or anesthesiologist/CRNA, and provide education to patients and families.

- Explain nursing procedures and actions taken to patients.
- Assess, collaborate, and coordinate patients' discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the care team.
- Instruct patients in self-care techniques following the procedure.
We are seeking a nurse with a strong foundation in critical care and perioperative nursing. A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Critical care or PACU experience is highly desirable.
