Position Summary

The Electronic Security Technician plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining electronic security systems across diverse customer programs. This position involves the installation and upkeep of security systems, troubleshooting, wiring, and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage electronic security components.
  • Install necessary cabling, access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.
  • Analyze design documentation and system data to effectively plan and execute installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Operate various security systems including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, and alarms.
  • Conduct high-quality device and component installation and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in the configuration of servers, workstations, panels, and other programmable components.
  • Implement testing protocols to verify the quality of installations.
  • Identify and rectify system issues at both component and system levels as part of ongoing support activities.
  • Install system raceway and cabling, ensuring proper termination and testing of all components.
  • Maintain the status of equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for field operations with customer representatives.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Adhere to all applicable state and federal safety and health regulations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure efficient business operations.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation for reference purposes.
  • Represent the company professionally in all aspects of performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Engage in training and certification activities as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the company.
  • Supervise assistants and provide feedback to administration.
