Overview:
We are seeking a Construction Project Lead at the junior level for a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of experience in construction-related fields such as Facilities Management, Store Planning, Fixturing, or Architectural Design.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $30
Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid position, requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with remote work available on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The work week consists of 36.25 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee various construction and signage projects across multiple chains.
- Assist in developing project timelines and assigning tasks to General Contractors and Sign Vendors.
- Ensure all necessary project documentation is distributed to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiate pricing, review and approve proposals and invoices, and monitor project progress to ensure timely completion.
- Provide regular updates to Field Organization and Management regarding the status of ongoing construction and signage projects.
Essential Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Word; familiarity with Lucernex and Service Channel is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret blueprints, including Floor Plans, Elevations, and Site Plans.
- Knowledge of store layouts, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing standards is desirable.
- Experience with complex projects is a plus.
- Retail industry experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with general fixturing and retail store planning is beneficial.
- Capability to understand landlord and municipal codes regarding exterior signage.
