Job Summary

The State of Colorado is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team at Wheat Ridge Regional Center. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality behavioral health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior analytic services for residents served at the Regional Centers, including data collection, program implementation, and crisis management.
  • Provide onsite training and monitoring of direct care staff to ensure timely and accurate implementation of program plans.
  • Identify training needs and initiate requests for training from professional staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
  • Document outcome of treatments and program implementation timely and accurately.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
  • Current and valid Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification or an inactive Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification with the ability to reactivate at the start of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with co-occurring IDD and mental health concerns.
  • Experience working with adults in services.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality. The successful candidate will be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, squat, etc., and perform physical interventions proficiently.
