Role Summary: Senior Software Developer

Team Dynamics: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to enhance our expanding team of development professionals. The selected candidate will be tasked with improving and optimizing our data architecture and pipeline, as well as refining data flow and collection processes for various teams. The Data Engineer will collaborate with our data department on initiatives and ensure that the data delivery architecture remains consistent across ongoing projects.

Key Contributions: The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in data collection across multiple formats and has a passion for parsing, transforming, and optimizing data systems, including building them from scratch. The right individual will be enthusiastic about the opportunity to enhance or even redesign our organization's data architecture to support the next generation of products and data initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipeline architecture.
  • Identify, design, and implement improvements to internal processes: automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for enhanced scalability.
  • Construct the necessary infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources into SQL Server, MongoDB, and other databases.
  • Create data tools for team members focused on data quality, aiding them in building and optimizing pipelines to improve workflows.
  • Establish processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency management, and workload management.

Candidate Profile:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering roles, with a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficient in SQL Server and experienced with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiar with various database types, including NoSQL and Big Data.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, ASP.NET Frameworks, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, NoSQL, Java, and Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Knowledge of multi-threading in C# and maintaining data integrity in SQL Server.
  • Experience in conducting root cause analysis on both internal and external data and processes to address specific business inquiries and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Strong analytical skills in working with unstructured datasets.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000, determined by geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional benefits.

Right to Work Requirements: This position is limited to individuals with an indefinite right to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this requisition.
