Job Summary

Hamilton Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and coordinate direct care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
  • Manage the care of assigned patients who present with life-threatening illnesses and/or diseases.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Georgia RN licensure or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria.
  • 1+ year of recent CVICU RN experience, including open heart recovery.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and CCRN certifications preferred.
Working Conditions

Works in a typical acute healthcare setting with a wide range of medical and/or surgical problems. Requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, and the ability to work under stressful conditions. Exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids is possible.
